Isolepis nodosa - knobby club rush (syn Ficinia nodosa)With interesting flower heads that form as small nobs on the end of the foliage, Isolepis nodosa is used in landscaping around ponds and dams as a point of interest. Also used widely in revegetation projects where habitat for water birds and other aquatic life is required. Reaching a height of 70 - 140 cm Isolepis nodosa will form a large clump over time. Foliage is upright to weeping, attractive and the plant is suited to home ponds and water features. Very low maintenance once established. Natural growth is mainly in damp areas although it is a species that can withstand dry periods. |
