Dianella longifoliaCommonly called the 'Pale Flax Lily' Dianella longifolia is a clumping perennial that can reach over 1m in height. Found in many areas of Australia this is one of the most versatile species. Tolerant of both moist and damp conditions, this is a plant that also grows well in full sun to part shade. Foliage is a deep green, strappy and upright. Pale blue to purple flowers from spring to summer followed by purple berries. Plants can be tidied up by removing spent flower heads in early autumn. Excellent for mass planting in wider landscaping projects, also well suited for planting in clumps in the garden. Drought tolerant once established. |
