Liriope muscari - Wholesale Nurseries in Australia

Liriope muscari is a strap leafed plant that grows well in full sun to part shade. Reaching around 60cm depending on cultivar with white to purple flowers in spring. Drought tolerant and well suited to mass plantings for commercial landscaping.

Landscaping Uses

  • Used as border plants as well as for mass plantings, some of the lower growing varieties can be used as a lawn substitute in low traffic areas.
  • Also suited to use as an indoor foliage plant especially for commercial buildings, the ability to grow in low light makes them suited.
  • The weeping types such as 'Emerald Cascade' are suited to grow in containers as feature foliage plants.
  • Excellent for under planting taller trees, also suited to use as border plants in the garden.

Liriope muscari Varieties

  • Liriope muscari 'Samantha' - Pale pink to mauve flowers green foliage that is slightly broader than some others, to around 40 - 60 cm
  • Liriope muscari 'Evergreen giant' - Tall growing to 70cm, purple flower spikes followed by deep blue berries.
  • Liriope muscari 'Amethyst' - Good deep purple flowers on tall spikes, foliage to around 40 cm
  • Liriope muscari 'Isabella' - One of the best pink flowering varieties, foliage reaching around 40cm
    Liriope muscari 'Emerald Cascade' - The best weeping form we have seen, attractive fine deep green foliage to around 40 - 50 cm.
