Laurus nobilis widely known as the 'Bay Tree' is perhaps best know for its leaves used in cooking. However Laurus Nibilus is also suitable to use as a hedging plant and wholesalers can supply semi advanced and advanced specimens.
Although slow growing it will eventually reach 6-7m depending on conditions and is tolerant of poor soils. Bay Trees are also used for topiary as they are easy to prune to shape. Suited for use as a background tree in the border with great shiny foliage.
