The Chinese tallow tree is a wonderful vigourous small shade tree, with one problem, it self seeds, so in the wrong situation it can become invasive.
The root system is shallow and not regarded as overly invasive, but plant 3-4m from sewerage pipes, houses etc. Lovely green heart shaped foliage with a tinge of red when new, that turns a crimson red in autumn.
Will reach around 8m depending on conditions, flowers are not significant. Full sun to part shade, a hardy drought tolerant tree once established that copes with poor soil.
